The Greek Student Film Festival is returning in 2026, offering students a unique opportunity to use the Greek language creatively and collaboratively, develop confidence, and perhaps even take the first steps toward a future in filmmaking.
This initiative is a collaboration between the Greek Film Festival, the Greek Community of Melbourne, the Education Office of the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne, the Department of Education and Training, and the Modern Greek Teachers’ Association of Victoria.
All films will be screened at Palace Cinema Como during the final day of the 2026 Greek Film Festival, Sunday 25th of October 2026.
The theme for 2026 competition is:
“Artificial Intelligence (AI)”
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming part of our everyday lives. It can help us learn, solve problems, create art, write stories and even make decisions. But as AI continues to evolve, it also raises important questions about creativity, ethics, human connection and the future.
