A love song and a lullaby to a city losing itself, Volta follows a mother (Marisha Triantafyllidou) and her daughter (Katerina Douka) as they leave their apartment in downtown Athens and head to the city’s northern suburbs. Here, they find heat, love, loss and ice-cream.

About the Director:
Stella Kyriakopoulos was born in New Jersey, USA, in 1983. She received a BA in Studio Art/Film and Media from Swarthmore College, studied Sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts, and received a Masters in Filmmaking from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Volta is her third short film, following Girl (2009) and Bob Goes to the Parthenon (2013).
