"I have seen too many elderly people who are alone without a social network or family – this is why the story instantly resonated with me." Filmmaker Stella Dimadis
Adapted from the short story, Christmas, by acclaimed writer Thanasis Papastergiou, 25.12 tells of a lonely Christmas Day when an elderly gent (touchingly portrayed by Melbourne actor and photographer Antonios Baxevinidis) yearns for the connection of a family.
In order to discover his reality, he must first explore his illusions. What is real? What is a dream? What is a hallucination? What results is a surreal, visually poetic personal journey – accomplished largely by the cinematographic magic of Con Filippidis.
