A freewheeling surrealist outing…
Beginning in a 19th century English village, moving to 1940s Reichstag Germany, and then onto the hedonistic ‘60s, Afterwardness offers a series of sketches that explore an actor’s anxieties, her darkest fears and her nightmares.
This modern-day ‘Alice’ (in Wonderland) – on a journey through the absurd – culminates with her awakening from a coma with a fierce determination to confront the darkness that has held her prisoner to her own fears.
