“[Evokes] my father's early years with his brother as new arrivals in Australia, their dreams and friendship, and how it was cut short in the end." Sotiris Dounoukos

Set in rural France, abattoir workers and best friends David (Mexianou Medenou) and Wani (Doudou Masta) make plans to open their own butchery. However, the arrival of Pierre (Karl Sarafidis) tests both the bonds of their friendship and the eventuation of their ambition.

Helmed by acclaimed Australian filmmaker Sotiris Dounoukos, A Single Body took out top prize in the inaugural Short Cuts International Global Showcase of Short Films at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
