Exclusion, violence, psychological cannibalism and consecutive power failures highlight a society "forgotten in the dark"...
A ticket inspector (Vangelis Mourikis) is looking for ways to rid himself of massive debts in order to keep his family together. A couple (Tasos Nousias and Kora Karvouni) are on the brink of separation. Two teenage boys (Omiros Poulakis and Promitheas Aliferopoulos, both from Burning Heads) wander aimlessly around the city in-between futile job interviews carrying an old revolver as a companion.
All three stories unfold within the timeframe of a single day in compelling black-and-white. As the narratives intersect, they also change direction. Victims become villains and each person comes face-to-face with the consequences of their actions.
Tungsten made a clean sweep of the awards - Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Editing - at last year's Cyprus International Film Festival.
